Did You Know?Deeply rooted in Native American culture, Phoenix is the perfect host for the Arizona Indian Festival, held in January at Steele Indian School Park. All twenty-two of Arizona’s native tribes will be represented, allowing visitors a glimpse into the history of traditional American Indian villages, storytellers, musical performances and dances. Come and experience the culture, the beauty and tradition of Arizona’s indigenous ancestors. Cliff Garrett Memorial Rodeo has been going on for 51 years and counting. Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come watch the wild rodeo fun, but have to be employees of Arizona divisions of AiResearch/Garrett/AlliedSignal/Honeywell companies. The rodeo runs in late October and admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children, age six to twelve. The proceeds benefit Arizona charities. |
